Jenna Ortega Talks About Returning for Wednesday Season 2
Production for Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday is in full swing, and while fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter for Wednesday Addams, series star Jenna Ortega has revealed her initial apprehension about returning to the role. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ortega admitted she was “terrified” to step back into character after a significant break since Season 1.
“I was a little terrified just because it had been years since Wednesday, since we shot the first one. We did that like two or three years ago in Romania,” Ortega shared. “I was overthinking it. But as soon as I put on the costumes by Colleen Atwood, got my hair and makeup done, and took on the character’s expression, it felt like, ‘Oh, okay. I know how to do this.'”
Ortega Takes on a New Role as Producer
In addition to her acting role, Ortega is also serving as a producer for Season 2. This new responsibility allows her to make creative decisions about the series, which she finds “exciting.”
“I get to decide how certain things look, like how blue somebody’s going to be or where the brains go on the floor. It’s so exciting and fun,” Ortega explained.
Will There Be Another Viral Dance Sequence in Season 2?
Season 1 of Wednesday was highlighted by its iconic dance sequence, but Ortega has not confirmed if Season 2 will feature a similar viral moment. With only a few episodes filmed so far, she remains uncertain about the inclusion of another memorable dance.
“Oh, my God, not that I’m aware of,” Ortega responded when asked by Extra about a potential new dance sequence. “I’m not looking ahead at the schedule; I fear maybe I’ll see something.”
