Growing up in Punjab, it meant spending time with family, dancing bhangra, listening to Dulla Bhatti stories, and enjoying quiet mornings in mustard fields. Visiting my village and sharing pinniyas with cousins remains one of my most cherished memories.”
Reflecting on her favorite Lohri moments, she said, “Singing traditional songs with my extended family, enjoying ghatak and peanuts, and dancing around the bonfire—those moments were pure joy.”

No matter where she travels, Harnaaz makes sure to honor her cultural traditions. She explained, “I’m grateful for my incredible family who remind me of my roots. Lohri is special and auspicious, so I always visit a Gurudwara and light a bonfire wherever I am. I also love sending gajak and rewri to close ones during this time.“
She added that Punjabi festivals are gaining global recognition. “Through music, food, culture, and stories, the world can experience the joy and pride behind these celebrations,” she noted.
