Announcement by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold a rally at Islamabad’s D Chowk at the end of August or early September. Gandapur made this announcement during a PTI rally in Swabi.
Challenge to Cancel Event
Gandapur challenged anyone to attempt to cancel the no-objection certificate (NOC) for the rally. He emphasized that PTI Chairman Imran Khan remains steadfast in his beliefs and is committed to securing Pakistan’s future.

Gandapur highlighted Imran Khan’s determination to achieve true national freedom and warned that failing to meet this objective would be unforgivable. He promised unwavering support for Khan’s vision and leadership.
Terrorism and Governance Criticism
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that proactive measures could end terrorism, which he claimed had decreased during Khan’s regime but spiked again after PTI’s departure from government. He also criticized the current government’s handling of petrol prices, which have risen from Rs145 to Rs270 per litre since PTI’s ousting.
Call for Accountability and Future Plans
Gandapur questioned the current government officials responsible for lawlessness and vowed to continue fighting for true freedom. He affirmed that the PTI will hold its rally in Islamabad, stating that no one can cancel the NOC. The rally is scheduled for the end of August or early September, with the resolution expected to take place at D Chowk.
